Camping in October is always a gamble

Selecting a date that works for a group of 8 is not exactly easy when trying to be conducive to everyones schedule, however, we made it happen and it was FANTASTIC! 

The menu in combination with the luxury of camping with 5 highly organized foodies  helped us overlook  the sub-Zero temps at night.(well as much as we could) In case you are interested..

Family Reunion!! I had a chance to get together with the fam today. Sometimes I get so busy that I don't realize how long it has been since I have seen them. We had a great time: BBQ'd and caught up. It sucks that my sister couldn't come (hey Cheryl!) but she lives too far away for an impromptu BBQ. Such is life. Well I am off to dinner and the movies with some friends for the evening....til next time

Pumpkin Shortage?

Tuesday I ventured to Delicious Orchards along with many youngsters attempting to take advantage of the gorgeous weather and Jewish holiday. Five bags later, sweat above my brow, and sand between my flops I was content with my sweet/sour selection. On my way out I grazed over the pumpkin patches and was informed of this years Pumpkin Shortage?.....who knew. Seems like everything these days is really being stretched thin.
